BURIAL IN DHA Defence Housing Authrity GRAVE YARD
DHA graveyard only facilitates its members, their parents and children (only unmarried). Members are required to intimate the death at DHA Complaint Office situated at Over Head Tank Sector A-Phase-1 having Phone No 0425734311, they are supposed to bring along Allotment Letter and ID Card. Security personnel will be engaged by the complaint office to carry out verification of the deceased. Once verified the member will proceed to the complaint office to collect a chit to be presented to the officials of the graveyard. Members inform the complaint office 5-6 hours prior to the burial. Following facilities are provided:-
Ambulance.
Cot to carry the dead body.
Plank to wash the dead body.
White sheet to cover the dead body.
All the facilities are provided free of cost.
GRANT OF PERMISSION OF PACCA GRAVE
All members apply to Additional Director (Maintenance) DHA for permission through application on simple paper with ID Card. Maintenance Branch after thorough verification grants necessary permission. The members hand over this permission to Head-Mali at graveyard. The grave is strictly prepared as per approved size held in graveyard.
QURAN KHAWANI AT GRAVEYARD
No one is allowed to hire Qari / Hafiz for Quran Khawani at grave without prior permission of AD Maintenance) DHA. Members to seek permission in writing indicating duration / timing of Quran Khawani and hiring of the Hafiz who will recite the Holy Quran at the grave of their loved ones. After verification permission is granted by the AD Maintenance) DHA.The permission letter is handed over to graveyard caretaker.
