Below is the complete step-by-step guide for all services offered by DHA Lahore Transfer & Record Branch.
1. Issuance of Allocation / Intimation / Allotment / Transfer Letters
Service Details
- Timeline: 25 Working Days
- Charges: Nil
- Delivery: Transfer Branch
Documents Required:
- Application to DHA Secretary or Director Transfer & Record for issuance of Allotment Letter. (Downloadable from DHA Lahore website)
- Original payment slip of the latest installment.
- Photocopy of CNIC.
- 2 recent passport-size photographs (blue background).
- Photocopy of Intimation Letter.
Procedure:
- Submit documents to Customer Services Officer at the DHA Customer Care Center.
- Upon verification, a receipt is issued to the applicant.
- Collect the Allotment Letter on the given date.
Note:
- Urgent Transfer can be processed with Director Transfer & Record approval on a Rs. 300 Stamp Paper Affidavit.
- Bring Original CNIC, Allocation & Intimation Letters for collection.
- Allotment Letter will only be prepared after Associate Membership form & registration fee submission (if not already done).
2. Verification of Property
Before buying or selling a property, always ensure property verification from DHA Lahore. This helps avoid fraud and confirms the ownership status of the plot/house.
3. No Demand Certificate (NDC)
An NDC is mandatory before any property transfer. It confirms that there are no outstanding dues (development charges, taxes, etc.).
4. Types of Property Transfers in DHA Lahore
A) Regular Transfer
Standard transfer between buyer & seller.
B) Hiba (Gift) Transfer
Property transfer as a gift to blood relatives (special procedure).
C) Legal Heir(s) Transfer
Transfer of property to legal heirs in case of owner’s death.
D) Foreign Transfer (Seller Abroad)
Special procedure for overseas sellers with attested documents.
E) Document Request (Purchaser Abroad)
For overseas buyers, enabling property transfer without visiting Pakistan.
F) Seller Outstation / Purchaser Outstation
If either party cannot be physically present, Power of Attorney is prepared for smooth processing.
5. Issuance of Allotment Letter (Against Ex. Park View Society)
For plots transferred from Ex-Park View Society, allotment letters are issued after document submission & verification.
6. Issuance of Duplicate Letters
In case of loss/damage of allocation/intimation/allotment/transfer letters, duplicates can be issued after verification and affidavit submission.
7. Change of Name
For name correction or update, submit application along with supporting documents (NADRA CNIC, Affidavit, etc.).
8. Special Power of Attorney (SPA)
DHA Lahore allows preparation & cancellation of SPA for buyers/sellers who cannot attend the transfer process in person.
9. Grant of Regular Membership
For Defence Personnel
Serving or retired armed forces personnel can apply for Regular Membership.
For Ex-DHA Employees
Former DHA employees are also eligible for membership under specific criteria.
10. Registration of Property Dealers
Property dealers working in DHA must be registered & authorized by DHA Lahore to conduct business legally.
