DHA Lahore Solar Panel Installation Bylaws – Update
The updated solar system rules focus on approved vendors, safety, and aesthetics:
1. Approved Vendors & Proposal Submission
- Installations must be done by AEDB & DHA Lahore-approved vendors.
- A complete proposal is required for approval, including:
- Detailed design plan
- Rooftop installation height restrictions (Lower edge max 5 ft, Upper edge max 10 ft)
- Tier-1 inverters and solar panels only
2. Restrictions on Mumtee & Overhead Water Tank (OHWT)
- No installation allowed without special permission.
- If approved, lower edge max 2 inches, upper edge max 10 ft 2 inches.
3. Safety & Durability Standards
- Wind/Storm resistance:
- Standard Structure: 100 mph
- Customized Structure: 125–140 mph
- AC/DC Earthing & Lightning Arrester: Mandatory
4. Construction & Waterproofing Rules
- No permanent concrete structures allowed
- Anchoring only with stainless steel fasteners
- Waterproofing to prevent seepage
- Concrete footing required for structural strength
