Step 1: FIR / Police Report
• Visit your nearest police station.
• File an FIR (First Information Report) stating the loss of the original allotment/transfer letter.
• Get a copy of the FIR signed and stamped.
Step 2: Affidavit on Stamp Paper
• Prepare an affidavit on Rs. 100/- stamp paper stating:
• The property details (plot number, phase, block, size).
• That the original letter has been lost.
• That it has not been sold or mortgaged.
• That you are applying for a duplicate in good faith.
• The affidavit must be attested by a Notary Public/Oath Commissioner.
Step 3: Newspaper Advertisement
• Publish a public notice in a leading newspaper (Urdu or English) mentioning:
• Loss of the original allotment/transfer letter.
• Property details.
• Your name and contact information.
• A 15-day public notice for any objections.
• Keep the original cutting of the ad with the date.
Step 4: Application to DHA
